This competition is called “Vyprošťování osob z havarovaných vozidel” (Rescue of Persons from Crashed Vehicles). This was the 22nd year of the competition and it was held on 6 September 2017 in the Přerov Uprising Square “náměstí Přerovského povstání”.
The entire event serves as preparation and training for real accidents for the professional firefighters/first responders. The competing teams have to rescue living occupants from crashed cars within a set time, during which a committee of certified judges evaluates them. Tactics, responders’ techniques and the provision of first aid are evaluated.
For the purpose of such a competition, various models of automobiles are usually used for the wrecks. The first responders, among other things, must be acquainted with the safety features and their placements in the vehicles. For this purpose, our company provides the firefighters with helpful information in the form of promotional materials.
