The first Friday afternoon of 2017 was devoted to the announcement of Athletes of the Year for 2016 at Alcedo Vsetín. The most successful members of the Vsetín Karate Club were rewarded for their efforts and hard work, which helped them to achieve high standings in many Czech and international competitions over the previous year.
The Vsetin Police Sports Club has been cooperating with Alcedo, středisko volného času, Vsetín in providing traditional karate lessons since 2008. The club currently has approximately 140 members – there are members from all age groups. The girls, in particular, have had excellent results in competitions.
The 14 best martial artists were honored on Friday, i.e. those who won medals at the Czech Championship in traditional karate in 2016 and at the World Championship WTKF 2016 in Krakov. The program took place at 4:00 PM on 6 November and featured the popular young band, Docela. The younger karate students also showcased their martial arts skills.
Mr. S. Moriyoshi (Corporate Planning Department Manager) attended the event as the representative of INDET SAFETY SYSTEMS a.s. He showed his appreciation for the enthusiasm and professionalism of the athletes and the achievements of the whole team, which represents us all so superbly.
