The 4th Annual Advent Benefit Concert took place on 12 December 2016 in the St. Růžena Chapel on the grounds of Vsetín Hospital a.s. The concert was organized by students and teachers of the Vsetín Elementary School of Performing Arts (ZUŠ).
At the opening of the concert, the CEO of INDET SAFETY SYSTEMS a.s. (ISS), Mr. Susumu Tokutake, presented the hospital’s Managing Director, Ms. Ing. Věra Prouská, with a symbolic check worth CZK450,000.00. This amount will be used for the purchase of special beds for the Surgery Department. “Our support for the hospital is just one of a series of ISS’s CSR activities. We are glad that the donation will not only help the hospital but, above all, the people of Vsetín and the surrounding areas,” said S. Tokutake.
The ZUŠ students and teachers put on a beautiful performance. The concert was opened with a well-known melody from Karel Svoboda’s “Three Wishes for Cinderella” and it continued in the spirit of Christmas and with timeless melodies by various virtuosos from the music world. The listeners left satisfied and in the Christmas spirit. The money collected from the voluntary entrance fee will help to cover the expenses of facilities in the Department of Long-term Care and for other activities to help patients, such as music therapy, canine therapy, memory and skills training.
