A convention focusing on research and development in the automotive industry, concretely on the safety of automobiles and road users, took place in the German city of Mannheim from 28th to 30th November 2016. As an important manufacturer of systems for seatbelt pretentioners and airbag initiators, INDET SAFETY SYSTEMS a.s. was one of the exhibitors.
As is the tradition from previous years, the 13th International Symposium and the exhibition of sophisticated automotive safety systems for the protection of passengers took place under the wing of the Frauhofer Institute for Chemical Technology ICT, an independent development center for airbags and testing.
The event was held in the Rosengarten Congress Center, which provided a great background for several dozen exhibitors from companies dealing in the manufacture of active and passive safety systems, their suppliers, and, simultaneously, for several hundred attendees. They visited the stands of the individual firms and took part in lectures by specialists, which took place throughout the whole exhibition. Airbag is organized every two years and it offers the opportunity to exchange information and improve spheres of contacts in the field of road users safety.
