June 5, 2016 will a big day for the entire Nippon Kayaku Group as it celebrates its 100th anniversary.
Nippon Kayaku Co., Ltd. was established on June 5, 1916 and it was the first Japanese manufacturer of explosives in the private sector. Growth was complicated and influenced by many factors such as the financial crisis of 1929, World War II, the postwar crisis, the oil crisis and other events. Despite all odds however, the company managed to maintain its business and grow into a strong, operational, international unit.
Today, Nippon Kayaku Co., Ltd. leads the Nippon Kayaku group (NK), which encompasses fields of functional chemicals, agrochemicals, pharmaceutical products and raw materials used for medicine, industrial dyes, inflators for airbags, special resins for electronics and colors for inkjet printers, on a global scale.
INDET SAFETY SYSTEMS a.s. (ISS) has been a member of the NK Group since 1999. We operate in the field of safety systems and produce pyrotechnical initiators, gas generators and inflators for the global automotive market.
