The Vsetin Hospital a.s. nominated INDET SAFETY SYSTEMS a.s. (ISS) for the “Ď award” with the “The Year of the Department of Long-term Care” Project. The regional round of the competition took place on 12 May 2015 on the small stage at the Slovacke Theatre in Uherske Hradiste.
This award is meant to express “thanks” to those who supported culture, charity or performed other acts benefiting their communities. The aim of “The Year of the Department of Long-term Care” Project was to secure funds for the purchase of new beds for the Department of Long-term Care at the Vsetin Hospital a.s., in order to expand the range of services, to promote care for seniors and patients with long-term illnesses and to make stays in the hospital easier and more pleasant.
Several companies were involved with the project, however ISS is among the more prominent participants donating CZK 450. 000, which significantly advanced the realization of the whole plan. ISS and the Vsetin Hospital a.s. have enjoyed a cooperative relationship over the long term. In the previous years we contributed to the reconstruction of beds in the JIP surgical department and to the purchase of technical equipment for the surgical and other departments.
The Zlin region Ď award went to Mrs. Zdena Wasserbauerová who, after her grandson had been diagnosed with leukemia, understood that there are other people out there who need help. Over almost twenty years of personal commitment, she has managed to recruit over 5000 people to register as potential bone marrow donors.
