ISS and SPARTAN PROJECT

 

 

In 2012, we proudly participate in an international project SPARTAN (Space Exploration Research for Advanced throttleable Engine http://www.spartanproject.eu). SPARTAN aim of the project is the development of hybrid rocket propulsion with high levels of tension control as a key enabling technology for precision landing interplanetary flights. Another goal of the project is the development of advanced test equipment for verification and in particular demonstrate the functionality of demonstrating landing maneuver in terrestrial conditions. Forward looking future applications of this drive is a precision landing on Mars. The ISS Pyroactuator ensures the activation of the probe´s emergency parachute system.
